82-year old woman dies after being pulled from burning home

ORANGE, Central West, NSW, Australia - A woman has lost her life following a house fire in the state's central west.

Emergency services were called to a home on Tynan Street, Orange, around 9.20pm on Sunday night following reports of a blaze.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews entered the burning building and pulled an unconscious 82-year-old woman from the premises. Bystanders and first responders performed CPR, but she could not be revived and died at the scene.

Police from the Central West Police District have established a crime scene, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.

Authorities have confirmed no one else was inside the home at the time of the incident.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information about the fire, or who was in the area on Sunday night with dashcam or mobile phone footage, to contact Orange Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. (Move FM News)
