NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally rose to 35,707,727 on Monday, as 179,723 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, showed the health ministry's latest data.
This is the fourth consecutive day when more than 100,000 new cases were registered in a day in the country.
Besides, as many as 146 deaths due to the pandemic since Sunday morning took the total death toll to 483,936. (India-COVID-19 Cases)

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on Monday urged high-risk groups in capital Phnom Penh to receive the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine starting from Jan. 14.
The fourth-dose campaign will begin with frontliners including leaders of the government, the senate, the National Assembly, frontline doctors, government officials, the army and police, local authorities and the elderly, according to the health ministry. (Cambodia-COVID 19-Vaccine)

SYDNEY -- Australia's Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) has been tracking a tropical cyclone, dubbed Cyclone Tiffany, over the weekend, which is expected to hit the coast of the northern tip of the state of Queensland on Monday.
The BoM issued a warning on Monday morning that the cyclone showed wind speeds of 130 km per hour and was moving west at 18 km per hour just 30 km from the coast. (Australia-Cyclone)
